About Van Slyke Engineering

FYI, Van Slyke Engineering is not a new "start-up" business. VSE has been around for many years. Paul Van Slyke has been building production and custom astroimaging equipment and observatory telescopes for over 40 years. His reputation, and that of VSE, in the astronomical community is impeccable. How does this astronomical effort relate to Audio/Video damping and isolation devices? Well, an observatory-grade telescope, designed for astroimaging, must be isolated and dampened to a level that is much more critical than any A/V system. Massive observatory telescopes need sophisticated isolation piers and cast iron pedestals to even begin to image the night sky with long, guided time exposures using various CCD imaging equipment, etc. Our expertice in this field is well known, and we hope to continue this reputation in the A/V market.

All VSE products have an unconditional 30-Day return policy and, if my products weren't constructed to last forever, then I couldn't offer our lifetime materials and workmanship warranty, too. VSE's "after-the-sale" service and integrity is "second-to-none." Don't take my word for it, ask our customers or, better yet, visit VSE's "Unsolicited User Comments" link. Remember, you get what you pay for, and with VSE, you also receive a solid investment in the future that will appreciate over time.

Understand, VSE is a virtual 3-man operation, me, myself, and I (virtual is the keyword). "I" design and manufacture all the products in-house. "Myself" processes, packs and ships all the product orders, and maintains an inventory of all product parts and metal stock. "Me" does the web page layout and doubles as the resident graphic artist/webmaster, too. That's right, VSE is actually a "one-man-band," so your patience can be a virtue. Oh, there is actually one other real person involved in the business, my wife Angela, who takes care of the bookkeeping on the side, and works a full-time job too. Without her support, tolerance and understanding over the years, VSE wouldn't exist. I can only manufacture so many products a year, and when they're gone, they're gone. You can Call, FAX or e-mail VSE for the current status on a specific product.

VS Engr Product Policies

Van Slyke Engineering strives to keep all production line products on the shelf at all times, and ready for immediate shipment to the customer. However, sometimes demand does exceed our manufacturing capabilities.

Guarantee

All VS Engr line products have a 30-day unconditional full money back guarantee. Postage is not refundable. The return product must be in its original resalable condition with all documentation intact (see Returns below). Returns that are not intact and ready for resale will be charged accordingly and deducted from your refund. All VS Engr products have an additional non-transferable lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship (VSE's lifetime, not yours). The only exclusion are rubber O-rings which deteriorate over long periods of time. Products will be repaired at no charge to the customer, if normal use is determined (by VSE only) to be the cause of the malfunction. If damage is due to other than normal use, or calibration seals are broken, then repairs will be charged accordingly. Products that are custom designed and built for the customer are not returnable under any circumstances, but do have our above lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship.

Payment

All checks must be made payable to VAN SLYKE ENGINEERING. Visa/MC is accepted. You may also pay by personal check, but your order will not ship for two weeks until your check clears the bank. All orders must be prepaid in full at the time of the order. Visa/MC orders will not be charged until your order is ready for shipment.

Returns

You MUST call or write for a return/repair merchandise authorization (RMA). Products that are custom designed and built for the customer (not including production line products) are not returnable under any circumstances. Non-returnable custom items carry a full lifetime warranty, and are noted in the individual item's text. All packages returned without an RMA will be refused.
